Data Ownership & Portability

A plain-language overview of what you own, what you can export and what happens to your data after the engagement ends.
This page is an informative summary of the Cliqsales contractual documents. In case of conflict, the Terms and Conditions and the relevant Appendices prevail.

In short: all your content and data are yours and you can take them with you. The software and its internal configuration stay ours — the same as with any other software service.
2. One clarification upfront
A seven-week programme does not mean a seven-week engagement. Seven weeks is the implementation phase — during it we deploy your AI team, CRM and everything else. The Contract, however, runs for 12 months. In week eight you have everything fully operational and continue for roughly another ten months.
Everything below therefore applies to the end of the 12-month period or to earlier termination of the Contract.
3. Why some things can’t be exported
3.1 AI Team — our infrastructure
The AI Team runs on our servers in Germany and Finland — with the provider Hetzner Online GmbH (ISO 27001), in the Falkenstein, Nuremberg and Helsinki data centres. All of them are located in the EU/EEA. You have your own dedicated server there — you don’t share a database with anyone else.
Because it’s our system, we can export all your files and content from it: documents, wiki, outputs, source code.
What we don’t export from it: the internal system configuration — agent settings in the database, runtime records, technical infrastructure. That’s our software, not your data.
3.2 Cliqsales AI CRM — the GoHighLevel platform
We operate the CRM on the GoHighLevel platform under our own brand. From it you get all your data — contacts, opportunities, communication history, submitted forms.
The configuration, however, cannot be exported. Workflow automations, funnels, websites and integrations with external services are records in GoHighLevel’s system, which does not allow their export outside its environment. It’s a property of the platform, not our decision. Every provider building on GoHighLevel has the same limitation.
For comparison: the same applies to HubSpot, ActiveCampaign and other CRMs. Automations are not portable between systems — when you change CRM, you take your data with you but rebuild the workflows.
4. Snapshot — moving within GoHighLevel
If you’re moving to your own GoHighLevel account or to another provider using this platform, the situation is simpler.
GoHighLevel offers a Snapshot feature — it clones the entire configuration (workflows, funnels, websites, calendars, pipelines, custom fields) into another account within the platform. We will provide the Snapshot on request.
One limitation: Snapshot works only inside GoHighLevel. It cannot be transferred to another system (HubSpot, Pipedrive, etc.).
Send your Snapshot request to support@cliqsales.com before the 30-day export period expires.
5. How the export works
5.1 You have 30 days
From the termination of the engagement you have 30 days to download all your data. You perform the export yourself in the administration — everything is ready for download, you don’t need to wait for anyone or ask anyone.
⚠️ After 30 days, data is deleted from the live database and cannot be recovered. It may persist in automated backups for up to another 90 days, but don’t count on recovery — plan your export in time.
5.2 Where each thing lives
- AI Data Center + LLM wiki + AI Outputs + Custom Skill source code — download from the Command Center (AI Team administration).
- CRM data (contacts, opportunities, communication) — export from the Cliqsales AI CRM (CSV / API).
- Snapshot of CRM configuration — on written request to
support@cliqsales.com(only within GoHighLevel). - Applications and dashboards (VibeCoding) — you already have the source code and typically your own Netlify account; if not, we hand over the source and configuration files.
6. Applications and websites (VibeCoding)
The applications, websites and dashboards we build for you are yours, including source code. By default we deploy them to the Netlify platform.
Recommendation: if you want certainty that the application will run regardless of our engagement, deploy it directly to your own account with a provider of your choice. Tell us at the start and we’ll deploy it there.
If the application runs on our account, after the engagement ends you arrange your own hosting and perform the migration yourself. Source code and configuration files are part of the export.
7. Custom Skill
The Custom Skill we build for you in Week 7 is exclusively yours. We assign to you all copyright and related intellectual property rights under section 39 of the Copyright and Related Rights Act 2000 (Ireland) — without time, territorial or subject-matter limitation.
That means you can further develop, modify, license to third parties and sell it. You receive the complete source code and documentation.
We commit to not adding the Custom Skill to our general library, not passing it to anyone else and not using it when working for another client.
Technical note. In operation the Custom Skill needs a runtime environment — our standard skills library and the AI Team layer. After the subscription ends you can keep the code and use it, but you need to arrange an alternative runtime environment. OpenClaw, on which we build the AI Team, is open-source.
8. Summary in five points
- Your data is yours. We claim no ownership over it and don’t process it for our own purposes.
- AI Outputs are yours forever. Texts, images, videos, brand DNA, campaigns — full commercial rights, no fees, no share of your revenue.
- Source code is yours. Custom Skill and applications, including code and documentation.
- Export is self-service and you have 30 days. You don’t need to ask anyone.
- The software stays ours. AI Team, the skills library and the CRM platform — you have a licence for the term of the Contract. That’s how every software service works.
